After years of production tying, sometimes tying flies can be hum drum.  Some fly tiers can at times take the task too serious and loose sight of why we are doing it in the first place.  That’s me to a tee.  So when I find myself slipping into that slump, I break out of the raffia and other materials I haven’t used in a while and have fun…

Rediscovering my passion for the art and it becomes fun again.  So now, instead of focusing on work I’m daydreaming of my vise and naked hooks!
