So, I’ve been wanting to do something with the new ideas for patterns and other opportunities I can make available to those who have stuck by my flyfishing antics and have followed me for a long time.

I am going to start a project for folks to field test patterns for me as a way of saying thank you. the only requirement is that when you receive them, you use them and then write a short review. I will provide the links and such to make it quick and easy.

I will also have give away contests for those who help me make this site grow. Simple things like “like and share” or “follow” for fly tiers and fly fishers alike.

With all of that being said, lets get started with our first one; Haley’s Comet.

This is an egg pattern I might want to produce but need to know if it works. Tied in the cobalt blue and flash on a #8 hook and bead, I think might work well on large Rainbows and Steelhead given their color preference.

So, are you up for the task? Time is a precious commodity for everyone these days and I am no exception. With all of the other projects I have going on with working full time, there will only be a limited opportunity to get in on this one.
