In the shuffle of getting the shop in order and ready for all of you, I have not formally introduced y’all to the core of Mon Valley Outdoors.
Pictured is my wife Shari holding on to our baby Dessie Mae and myself holding the leash of the older sister Ruby.
Our passion is the outdoors. We enjoy fly fishing, hiking, gold panning and generally anything that is going to get us outside.
I’m originally from the Mon Valley, having graduated from Elizabeth Forward in the mid eighties, fate took me to the southern coast of South Carolina where I would split my time between the coast and the mountains of North Carolina.
Ms. Shari is a born and bred southern belle having been born in Charleston, South Carolina. Shari is an accomplished artist that creates in multiple mediums the passions for everything natural.
The pups, well, they need no formal introductions because they are who you meet; loving, playful, sweet Golden Retrievers who will bring you a toy in hopes you will throw it for them…that’s their hook so you have been warned!
Stop in and say hello, you never know who you will meet. The coffee is generally on and strong, the guitar is always in tune and according to Dessie and Ruby, the dog beds are comfortable so bring your pups!
