My Salvation

What are the oaks, hemlock, maple and fir but pillars to the temple where I give thanks to he that created my sanctuary.
What is it that recedes the sweat and weariness from brow and limb after a long days toil amidst this temple ….
It is but the very life as flows through my veins and is the foundation of all that breathes.
God has created for me a challenge and blessing; a true acknowledgement
to the glory of his love for us that live outdoors. Those with the courage to seek the places few venture, for us he created the native trout.
And surely such a gift is truly unworthy to be caught only once and by no other means than hooks adorned with feathers and fur and a rod suited for such purpose.
